The PlayStation 5 is every bit as elusive today as it was four months ago when Sony unveiled the next-generation console. At this time, the PS5 is sold out in both of its configurations: the $500 model with Blu-ray and the less expensive $400 digital-only version with no optical drive. Even so, for the last few months, all the major retailers (as well as Sony itself) have been getting occasional inventory drops and releasing it in bursts.
