Five months have elapsed since the PlayStation 5 — recently named the fastest-selling console in US history — was released by Sony, and it still seems as difficult as ever to actually get one. The company can’t keep up with the sky-high demand, and the problem is being exacerbated by the global chip shortage and the pandemic. If you’ve been trying to buy a PS5, but never manage to score, you’re certainly not the only one. Though any time a retailer has a PS5 restock, it sells out instantly, that’s actually good news, because any progress with PS5 inventory is good progress.
