The novel coronavirus is continuing to wreak havoc on the global technology industry. On Thursday, Facebook joined the growing list of companies and organizations avoiding international gatherings. The giant social network said it was canceling its F8 developer conference, a widely anticipated event at which CEO Mark Zuckerberg updates the world on Facebook’s developments and challenges. The reason for the cancellation: concerns surrounding COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus.
