In two weeks, most of the world’s top mobile companies will descend on Barcelona for Mobile World Congress. But worries about an unwelcome potential attendee — coronavirus — threaten to scuttle the entire show.
Sony, Amazon, LG, Ericsson and Nvidia have withdrawn from the show, and ZTE and TCL canceled their press conferences. Huawei and Oppo plan to quarantine their executives for 14 days before MWC starts, and Oppo will check the temperature of every person attending its events.
