Today’s major tech headlines include Google’s fine from the Belgian data protection authority, the UK following the US in banning Huawei from its 5G network and Amazon’s introduction of the Dash Cart.

The bill, which Tim Cook once called “political crap,” has been overturned by Europe’s second highest court.

As the city looked into how much drivers should be paid, the ride-hailing companies commissioned their own study, which painted a rosier picture.

The US Army and Navy have already banned service members from using the app on government-issued phones.

Huawei equipment must be removed from the UK’s 5G network by 2027, reversing an earlier decision allowing carriers to use Huawei kit in non-core parts of the network.
