If you’re looking for an Xbox Series X ($500) or Xbox Series S ($300) — and honestly, who isn’t — I’ve got some bad news for you. Despite debuting all the way back on Nov. 10, the next-gen console has been virtually impossible to find ever since. Enormous demand, anemic inventory and focused attacks from bots and resellers have kept most people from getting one of the sought-after consoles at ordinary retail prices. There have been very limited inventory drops at retailers since, but in every case precious few customers managed to snag a unit.
