Being able to use the internet and all data-dependent services free of charge in foreign countries is one of the major advantages of living in and travelling around Europe. The EU first introduced its roaming regulation, which allows European citizens to visit other EU countries and use their phones as if they’re at home back in 2012. On Wednesday, it announced that it wants to extend the regulation for another ten years when it expires in 2022.
