Microsoft has changed the gaming platform calculus. Until recently, you probably assumed you’d be Xbox preorders start tomorrow, Sept. 22 at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET., but now there’s a potentially more attractive option, especially if you don’t have a 4K TV: The Xbox Series S, which will set US gamers back a much more modest $300.
